TOWSON, MD—Soon after winter break, Baltimore County Public Schools will invite the entire community to participate in Team BCPS Day, an annual celebration of its schools, students, teachers, staff, volunteers, and supporters.
On Team BCPS Day 2024, to be held on Thursday, January 11, all community members are encouraged to wear blue and post photos on social media using hashtag #BCPSblue. Twenty awards will be presented for distinguished participation in Team BCPS Day:

- Best Blue Volunteer
- Best Furry Friend
- Best “Get in Formation”
- Best Head-to-Toe Blue
- Best Large Group Photo
- Best Multigenerational Blue

- Best True-Blue Friends
- Best Use of Blue in a Classroom Lesson
- First to Use the #BCPSblue Hashtag on January 11

“Held on the second Thursday of each January, Team BCPS Day celebrates the unity and strength of our school system,” said Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers (Yarbrough). “This year, we hope to take the day to a higher level to reflect this community’s enduring commitment to public education excellence. I encourage families, alumni, and our business and nonprofit partners to participate. Go big, and go blue!”
