NOTTINGHAM, MD—Councilman David Marks on Tuesday announced his recommendation of Perry Hall resident Stephanie Baynes to serve on the Baltimore County Fair Election Commission.
The Fair Election Commission assists the County in administering its new public financing system for candidates for County Council and County Executive, which will begin with the 2026 election cycle.
The Commission is responsible for estimating the amount of funding needed during the upcoming election cycle, and makes annual recommendations to the County Executive on the level of appropriations needed in each forthcoming budget.
Baynes is a Senior Operations Research Analyst and computer scientist with over 16 years in her field.
“I am delighted to nominate Ms. Baynes to this commission,” said Councilman Marks. “The members of this panel need to be independent and nonpartisan, and I believe Ms. Baynes will provide that service to the county.”
