KINGSVILLE, MD—At the request of a Kingsville resident, Councilman David Marks contacted the Maryland State Highway Administration regarding safety issues at the intersection of Bradshaw Road and Philadelphia Road.
The state will be replacing the existing advance intersection warning sign with a new, larger sign to enhance visibility along eastbound Philadelphia Road.
Additionally, to increase sight distance, the state is installing line extension pavement markings across the side street. The line extension will help drivers see how far forward they can pull-up after stopping at the stop sign to increase their line of sight without impeding traffic on Philadelphia Road.
“I would like to thank the Maryland State Highway Administration for studying this intersection and advancing these changes,” said Councilman Marks.
