Freedom Federal Credit Union announces three new community-based team members

BEL AIR, MD—Freedom Federal Credit Union this week announces three new appointments to their growing team. Leslie Stein and Ryan Frieman have joined Freedom’s Business Banking Team as Business Relationship Officers. Additionally, Stephen Hiegel has joined Freedom’s Business Development Team, joining colleagues, Lisa Snodgrass and Brian Peller, in their efforts to expand Freedom’s footprint through Harford and Baltimore County-based Workplace Partners.

Stephen Hiegel, who brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as Marketing Director at Land Abstract & Escrow, LLC, as well as a background in Wholesale Mortgage Account Executive roles, is set to champion Freedom’s outreach in Baltimore County through individuals and employers. Hiegel’s dedication to community is evident in his long-standing service on the Board of Directors for the Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap. In his free time, Hiegel enjoys soccer and the cinema. He resides in Baltimore County with his wife, Michelle, and his faithful companion, Buster.

Hiegel emphasizes, “I am looking forward to making a difference in people’s lives by building relationships and partnerships within the community and helping people better themselves financially. Freedom allows me the opportunity to accomplish this right here in the community in which I reside.”

Leslie Stein, a Harford County native, brings her 28 years of banking expertise, primarily focused on Business Development and Branch Management, to Freedom’s Business Banking Team. With an impressive list of community involvements, including serving on the Harford Community College Foundation and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Community Advisory Board, she is also in her 5th year as President of the Route 40 Business Association. Stein is most passionate about providing the right guidance to help people succeed.

Stein shares her philosophy, “I believe in helping people every day. By providing them with the right guidance, nothing is impossible, and it can be done.”

Ryan Frieman is a seasoned financial services professional with over 20 years’ experience in banking and 30 years’ experience in business development. His passion lies in fostering success for individuals and businesses, with a career built on empowering others to succeed. With a commitment to prioritizing the member and community’s best interests, Frieman’s business acumen will make a positive impact with Freedom’s Business Banking partners. His dedication extends beyond the workplace, as he actively engages with various community organizations, such as the American Cancer Society and March of Dimes. Frieman values family time with his wife and two children, and in his spare moments, he can be found enjoying a good film or getting in some thrills at an amusement park.

“My instinct is always to do what is truly best for people and always put the member and community first. My passion is to help every person and business to become more successful,” stated Frieman.

The arrival of these three accomplished professionals underscores Freedom Federal Credit Union’s commitment to expanding its presence in Harford and Baltimore Counties.
