Medevac transports injured dirt bike rider following weekend crash

CHASE, MD—A dirt bike rider was seriously injured in a crash that was reported over the weekend.

At around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, units from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Bengies Road and the Amtrak line for a report of a dirt bike crash.



At the scene, crews found that the rider was impaled by a stick from the thigh into the abdominal area. The patient was transported to the hanger of Maryland State Police – Aviation Command Trooper 1 at Martin State Airport to be transported by medevac to the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

WMVFC units were on the scene for about 45 minutes.

There has been no update on the patient’s condition.
