Maryland State Police searching for missing man

BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland State Police are searching for a man who has gone missing.

At around 1 a.m. on June 12, 2023, Jason Pearson was transported to his assigned Freightliner in Scranton, PA by his wife. For the next 58 hours, Pearson and the commercial vehicle traveled to multiple locations in Pennsylvania and Maryland.



At around 11:30 a.m. on June 13, Pearson arrived at the Smithfield Foods distribution center located at 2895 Principio Parkway in North East, MD.

Pearson was last seen at just before noon by Smithfield employees while waiting to pickup an additional delivery.

At just after 1:15 p.m. on June 14, Pearson’s vehicle was found abandoned on the roadway within eyesight of Smithfield. Pearson’s belongings, including his cell phone, were located inside his vehicle.

Jason Pearson is now classified as a missing person.
