NOTTINGHAM, MD—A new pedestrian crosswalk will soon be built in the Nottingham area.
Baltimore County will construct a brick raised pedestrian crosswalk at Baker Lane and Holiday Manor Road to reduce speed and improve safety at Gunpowder Elementary School, Councilman David Marks announced on Friday.
The crosswalk will be constructed over the next two weeks and will cost $15,000.
“Speeding is one of the top complaints we receive, but solutions are often hotly debated,” Councilman Marks said. “My personal opinion is that raised crosswalks can make a difference, and I appreciate the support from the Department of Public Works and Transportation.”
