BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.
The watch will remain in effect until 9 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Forecasters say storms are possible throughout the afternoon and evening hours as a cold front moves through the region.
Some storms may be severe, with the primary threats being frequent lightning, wind gusts of up to 70 MPH, and ping pong-ball sized hail.
