ROSEDALE, MD—Police have released a description of the vehicle they are seeking in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a female cyclist in Rosedale last month.
At just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the area of Rossville Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive (21237) for a motor vehicle crash that involved a bicyclist.
Detectives determined that the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Rossville Boulevard. When she attempted to cross the roadway, a westbound vehicle struck the bicyclist in the westbound lane. The driver did not remain at the scene. The bicyclist, 46-year-old Aimee K. Whiteford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on their investigation, detectives have determined the suspect vehicle involved is a black 2012 or 2013 Toyota Highlander with damage to its right side-view mirror, fog light assembly, and headlamp.
