BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Baltimore area.
The advisory will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Heat index values this afternoon will range from 100 to 105 degrees.
Forecasters say hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses to occur.
If spending extended times outdoors, residents should stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks.
Baltimore County Public Schools officials have cancelled all outdoor games and activities on Tuesday.
