Female bicyclist killed in Rosedale hit-and-run

ROSEDALE, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating after a 46-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Rosedale.



At just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, officers responded to the area of Rossville Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive (21237) for a motor vehicle crash that involved a bicyclist.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Crash Team have determined the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Rossville Boulevard. When she attempted to cross the roadway, a vehicle traveling westbound struck the bicyclist in the westbound lane. The driver did not remain at the scene.

The bicyclist, 46-year-old Aimee K. Whiteford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Crash Team continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crash, and they are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 410-307-2020.
