Baltimore County accepting nominations for Commission on Disabilities awards

TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities is now accepting nominations for its annual awards program. Seven award categories will be considered involving activities related to education, employment, advocacy, volunteerism and accessibility.

The awards program seeks to recognize individual achievements of people with disabilities and activities undertaken by individuals, groups or organizations that contribute to the well-being and independence of people with disabilities.

“Advocating for those in need is important, selfless work, and we want to highlight individuals and organizations who contribute to the vibrancy and health of our communities,” said Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski. “I encourage everyone to consider nominating a worthy candidate for the awards, through which we honor individuals with disabilities and recognize people who sacrifice, persevere and help others.”

The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 8, 2023.
