TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Public Library this week announced that Sunday service would resume at select library branches.
BCPL will be reopening at seven branches on Sundays beginning September 10th. This service will run the Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend—May 19, 2024.
The following branches will be open to the public on Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- Arbutus
- Cockeysville
- North Point
- Owings Mills
- Perry Hall
- Pikesville
- Towson
The seven branches listed above were selected by which locations saw the most use on Sundays pre-pandemic. They also offer ample space, parking and resources so BCPL can serve the needs of the community. The seven branches are spread out geographically throughout the County.
Sunday service hours focus on providing core services to our customers, including:
- Access to physical collections
- Computers
- Meeting rooms
- Printing, copying and faxing
- Study rooms
Some services will not be available, including:
- My Librarian appointments
- Notary services
- Passport appointments
- Programs
- Social worker appointments
- Take Us Anywhere
Anyone unable to visit one of the seven branches can utilize BCPL’s digital library, which is open 24/7 and is filled with audiobooks, ebooks, magazines, movies, music, and more.
