Vehicle stolen in Parkville, assault suspect arrested

PARKVILLE, MD—Police say a vehicle was stolen, an assault suspect was arrested, and a vehicle theft suspect was arrested in the Hillendale/Parkville/Carney area this week.

At just before 9:15 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, officers responded to the 8700-block of Loch Bend Drive in Parkville/Carney (21234) for a report of a first-degree assault with a weapon. The suspect was arrested and the weapon was recovered.



At around 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, several suspects were observed looking into vehicles and several damaged vehicles were found in the 1400-block of Dartmouth Avenue in Hillendale (21234). One suspect was arrested.

Sometime between 3:00 and 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, an individual stole a brown 2015 Hyundai Sonata with MD registration “8CE2470” from the 8500-block of Willow Oak Road in Parkville/Carney (21234).
