NOTTINGHAM, MD—A busy, Perry Hall shopping center will soon begin cracking down on loitering teens.
Councilman David Marks on Wednesday said that he had been in contact with management at the Perry Hall Square shopping center after receiving numerous complaints about loitering by some teenagers who weren’t patronizing businesses but harassing other customers.
The shopping center will be significantly increasing their security presence up until 2 a.m., especially when school lets out.
“The shopping center has cameras, and any serious incidents will be shared with the police,” said Councilman Marks. “I appreciate the efforts by local schools to request that parents do what they can to encourage good behavior. Our kids have the right to patronize businesses, and many work hard as employees here.”
“Thank you for those who are serving as role models,” Marks added. “We will do what we can to make sure the shopping center continues to be a good place and a pillar of Perry Hall, as it has been since the early 1960s.”
