CARNEY, MD—Motorists may notice a different traffic pattern in the Carney area on Thursday.

On August 3, the State Highway Administration will improve safety for pedestrians traveling along northbound MD 147 at East Joppa Road (21234).

Officials say this work will require a temporary traffic pattern directed by the Maryland State Police.

The work is expected to last for approximately one hour.
