Upgraded traffic signal to be activated at White Marsh Boulevard and Honeygo Boulevard in White Marsh

WHITE MARSH, MD—The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration and its contractor will work overnight this Sunday, June 18 into Monday morning, June 19, 2023 to activate an upgraded new traffic signal system at the MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard)/Honeygo Boulevard intersection in White Marsh.

The new traffic signal will allow for safe operation and accommodate new turn lane movements at the intersection.

The traffic signal activation and final traffic pattern is expected to be in operation by 5 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.

As part of the overnight work, crews will remove barriers and open new turn lanes constructed as part of the $4.4 million project to improve safety and access to White Marsh businesses and the Maryland Transit Administration’s Park and Ride lot at the southwest corner of the intersection. Additional information on the project is available online here.

Contractor C.J. Miller Inc., of Hampstead, will conduct the work.
