BALTIMORE, MD—Federal Realty Investment Trust has announced that Giant Food will open at Perring Plaza in 2024.
The supermarket will take over the spot occupied by Shoppers, which is set to close this summer.
“We are fortunate to have an established relationship with Giant Food,” said Lance Billingsley, Senior Vice President, Anchor Leasing, Federal. “With deep roots in our community, we look forward to adding Giant to a terrific mix of tenants at the recently renovated Perring Plaza.”
Renovations at the 396,000-square-foot E. Joppa Road shopping center include a refresh of the façade, updated streetscape, and the addition of a common seating area and gathering place.
Giant Food plans to fully renovate its approximately 55,000 square foot space at Perring Plaza.
“Giant Food has been a part of the Baltimore community for nearly 70 years and we look forward to increasing our presence by adding this new store at Perring Plaza,” said Ira Kress, President of Giant Food. “We look forward to sharing more about our plans to serve the community with a new state-of-the-art store as we get closer to our completed renovations. Once open, we are sure this new location will deliver on the value, convenience, variety and quality of service for which our customers have come to know and rely on us.”
