JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Tuesday afternoon fire at Joppatowne High School.
The fire broke out at the school at around 1:30 p.m. on May 16, 2023.
Students and staff were quickly evacuated and sprinklers helped extinguish the blaze, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
Firefighters finished dousing the flames and removed smoke from the building.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
