Public information meeting to be held in Parkville to discuss capacity relief for Hampton Elementary School

TOWSON, MD— To provide emergency capacity relief to Hampton Elementary School, Baltimore County Public Schools will host a public information meeting to discuss potential boundary changes, among other relief measures.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 in the Parkville High School cafeteria.

Meeting presenters will discuss options for capacity relief and gather feedback from the community about potential changes. Some of the changes might involve reorganization of some neighborhoods now zoned for Pleasant Plains Elementary School and Cromwell Valley Elementary Magnet School.



BCPS staff is expected to present a recommendation for capacity relief for Hampton Elementary School at the June 13 meeting of the Board of Education of Baltimore County.

The meeting will be livestreamed and available for viewing on the BCPS website.

BCPS also plans to launch a survey about Hampton capacity relief following the May 22 meeting in order to gather additional feedback on potential options. The survey is anticipated to run from May 22 through 11:59 p.m. on May 29, 2023.
