Police to hold steering wheel lock pop-up event at Towsontown Spring Festival for eligible Hyundia, Kia owners

TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department will be distributing steering wheel locks on Saturday, May 6, 2023, to eligible Hyundai and Kia owners during the Towsontown Spring Festival.

Steering wheel locks will be available starting at 10:30 a.m. while supplies last.

The Baltimore County Police Department tent will be located along Washington Avenue near the Armory (corner of Washington Avenue and West Chesapeake Avenue, 21204).



Steering wheel locks will be provided to Baltimore County residents whose Hyundai or Kia vehicle is eligible for an anti-theft software upgrade and require a key to turn the ignition. Residents should bring a copy of their vehicle registration.

Residents can go to the Hyundai or Kia website and enter their vehicle’s VIN to see if it is eligible for an anti-theft software upgrade.
