Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library to hold second annual ‘Big Give’ fundraising event

BALTIMORE, MD—Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library will be hosting The BIG Give, their second annual dedicated day of giving on Friday, May 19, 2023 to raise additional funds for vital projects to the 21st century library.

Donations can be made online to support Baltimore County Public Library initiatives, including digital equity, Summer Reading Challenge, bookmobiles, Storyville, and building improvements.

Thanks to a generous matching grant from Anne and Christopher West, every dollar donated on May 19 will be matched, up to $50,000, making gifts go twice as far.

Anyone donating $100 or more receives a “BIG glass mug” and is automatically enrolled in the Foundation’s membership program, the All In Crowd. There are numerous pop-up events planned throughout the day at library branches, with appearances by Sneaks the Cat and Foundation board members, a livestreamed event and a free concert. Full schedule below:

  • Hereford Branch, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Arbutus Branch, 11 a.m. to noon
  • The BIG Give Live, 1 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube
