Suspect arrested following Essex robbery, auto thefts reported in Hillendale

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a robbery, an assault, and two vehicle thefts that were reported over the weekend.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, a white Hyundai Sonata with PA tag “JJJ5806” was stolen from the 1100-block of Rowan Court in Hillendale (21234).

At just after 4:15 p.m. on Friday, April 28, an armed individual robbed someone of an undisclosed amount of money in the 6000-block of Rossville Boulevard in Essex (21221).  The suspect was subsequently arrested.



Between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, an individual stole a 2020 blue Kia Sportage with NJ tag “D20LTK” from the 6600-block of Wycombe Way in Hillendale (21234).

At 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, an individual with a weapon threatened someone in the 8600-block of Philadelphia Road in Rosedale (21237) before leaving the location in a vehicle.
