ROSEDALE, MD—Last month, the CCBC Knights women’s basketball team won its first-ever NJCAA Division II national championship.
This week, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski visited the team and presented them with an official citation recognizing their achievement.
The Knights defeated Richard Bland 95-85 in an overtime thriller to secure the title.
“Congrats to our CCBC Essex (Knights women’s basketball team) on the first NJCAA Division II national championship in program history,” said County Executive Olszewski. “This citation is a celebration of your historic & hard-fought victory! Baltimore County is proud of you & will be cheering you on as you defend the title next year.”
