TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department on Monday announced that over 200 firearms were collected during Saturday’s Firearm Buyback.
The event was a collaboration between the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Baltimore County Chapter, in partnership with the Kingdom Worship Center, Brooks Clinton Funeral Service, and the Baltimore County Police Department.
Officials say the weapons collected will be analyzed and ultimately destroyed if found not to be connected to criminal activity.
All submissions of firearms were recorded as anonymous.
