Pair of shootings reported in northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD—Police are investigating two shootings that occurred in northeast Baltimore this weekend.

At just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, officers responded to a shooting in the 5400-block of Belair Road (21206).

Upon arrival, officers located a 46-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.



Authorities say the victim was walking in the block when an unknown vehicle pulled up alongside him and an occupant exited the vehicle and began shooting at him.

At just after 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023, officers responded to the Harford Road corridor for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male in the rear of the 2900-block of Chesley Avenue (21234) who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and arm. The 31-year-old male was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Homicide detectives have now assumed control of the investigation.

Additionally, a 30-year-old woman was shot during this incident. Her condition is unknown at this time.
