UPDATE: Authorities say the tanker truck was filled with heating oil. The driver was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment of their injuries. No other injuries were reported. Metro service has also been shut down.

PIKESVILLE, MD—Motorists heading to the northwest portion of Baltimore County on Friday morning should expect major delays.
Authorities say that, at just after 6 a.m. on March 24, 2023, a tanker truck overturned and burst into flames along I-795 near I-695.
I-795 has been shut down in both directions between I-695 and Owings Mills Boulevard.
Hazmat crews are on the scene.
There has been no word on any injuries.
Motorists should avoid the area.
