Middle River man plans to sit back, relax following $50,000 Pick 5 win

BALTIMORE, MD—A Middle River man is quite at ease after his latest Maryland Lottery win. He plays frequently and has won prizes of up to $10,000 playing Pick 3 and Pick 4 in the past – but his most recent Pick 5 bet gave the happy winner a $50,000 prize, which is big enough to let him kick back.

The 70-year-old visited Edgewood Liquors, Grocery & Deli located at 2200 Philadelphia Road in Edgewood. He was in the Harford County area visiting family members and decided to stop to buy Lottery tickets.

It wasn’t until the next morning that the Baltimore County resident learned that his ticket in the March 14 evening drawing had earned him a $50,000 prize.

“I’m going to just sit back and relax,” the happy winner said when asked of his plans for his newfound fortune.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies and going for walks.
