TOWSON, MD—A Baltimore County police detective who was injured last month is going home.
Det. J. Chih was wounded after being shot during a standoff in Cockeysville with David Linthicum.
Following a police chase, Linthicum was eventually arrested following a second lengthy standoff in the Fallston area.
Det. Chih was released from the hospital on Tuesday and a long receiving line awaited him.
Linthicum, 24, of Cockeysville, has since been indicted on 27 counts including attempted first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence and armed carjacking.
