Baltimore County named recipient of 2023 Gateways for Growth award

TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County has been named one of the recipients of the 2023 Gateways for Growth award.

The Gateways for Growth Challenge is a competitive opportunity for localities to receive research support and technical assistance from the American Immigration Council and Welcoming America to improve immigrant inclusion in their communities.

“Baltimore County’s diversity is its strength, and our goal is to create an inclusive, welcoming environment that is accessible and welcoming for all,” said Giuliana Valencia-Banks, Immigration Affairs Outreach Coordinator with the Office of County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Jr. “Becoming part of the Gateways for Growth cohort will help to enhance our work of creating equitable programs and policies for everyone who has chosen Baltimore County as their home and highlight the many ways our new neighbors have enriched the community. We are honored to have the support of Gateways for Growth, and look forward to the partnership helping us continue to build a strong and vibrant future for all Baltimore County residents.”
