Carney business burglarized, ATV stolen in Glen Arm

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

Sometime between the morning of Wednesday, December 14 and the evening of Thursday, December 15, an individual smashed the glass front door to a business in the 3300-block of East Joppa Road in Carney (21234).  An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the register.



At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 18, an individual and his roommate got into an altercation in the 1700-block of Edgewood Road in Parkville (21234). The suspect slashed at the victim with a chef’s knife and was later located and arrested.

Sometime between 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 18 and 2:30 a.m. on Monday, December 19, two individuals entered a yard in the unit block of Gunpowder Road in Glen Arm (21057), forced open a shed door, and stole an ATV and a dirt bike.

At around 3 a.m. on Monday, December 19, some individuals were standing outside in the 8700-block of Blairwood Road in Nottingham (21234) waiting for a ride when they were approached by a subject with a gun. The subject pointed the gun at the victims’ heads and stated that he was “in charge of the area.” The victims ran away and the subject left in a black, four-door sedan.
