SUITLAND, MD—Suitland High School was placed on lockdown on Thursday morning after a student was shot during an altercation outside of the school.
At around 10 a.m., officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to a non-fatal shooting in the 5200-block of Silver Hill Road.
Authorities say a student was shot during a physical altercation outside of the school building.
The assigned School Resource Officers were on-site and provided emergency care to the victim, a ninth-grader, who was hospitalized.
