Perry Hall church vandalized, burglarized; man sets vehicle on fire in Middle River

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At around 3 a.m. on Friday, November 25, an individual brandished a folding pocket knife during an argument in the 1300-block of Taylor Avenue in Hillendale (21234).

At just before 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, a known individual burglarized a place of worship located in the 9100-block of Belair Road in Nottingham/Perry Hall (21236). The suspect destroyed several windows, doors, and other property before stealing miscellaneous coins, a Bible and a projector. Those items were recovered and the suspect was arrested.



At just after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, an individual drove a vehicle through a locked gate and set the vehicle on fire in the 100-block of Bengies Road in Middle River (21220). The fire completely destroyed the vehicle and caused damage to a nearby generator.

At around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, two individuals got into an altercation inside of a motel room in the 8200-block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237). Each gave a different account of the events claiming that the other pointed a handgun at the other. The handgun was found and all parties were arrested.

At just after 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, officers responded to the unit block of Dowling Circle in Hillendale (21234) for a report of a robbery. The victim advised that, when he parked his vehicle and walked towards his residence, two individuals arrived in a black Honda Accord and then exited the vehicle. The suspects held the victim at gunpoint, and stole his car keys and phone. The suspects drove away with his car, which became inoperable – at which point the suspects fled on foot.
