MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum’s 9th annual Plane and Train Garden is now open.
The attraction displays skillfully crafted train garden displays that feature various local sites, including Bengies Drive-In, Marshy Point Nature Center, the Washington Monument, Fort McHenry, and more. Admission is free.
This year, the Holiday Garden has moved to a larger venue at 2323 Eastern Boulevard in Middle River. Visitors can explore exhibits on aviation history, including a full-size model of a Martin MS-1, an experimental Navy scout biplane assembled by museum volunteers.
This ninth season of the Holiday Plane and Train Garden runs from November 26 through January 15 on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also Monday through Friday December 26 – 30, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Garden will be closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
Although admission is free, there will be a sign-in process and adults will need to show their IDs. Families looking to expedite the wait of on-site registration can pre-register online here.
