Businesses vandalized, burglarized in Hillendale, Rosedale

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

Between 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, an individual came onto a business’ parking lot in the 7900-block of Belair Road in Nottingham (21236), broke into a storage container, and stole a generator.

At just before 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, three individuals threw a rock through the front glass window of a business in the 2300-block of Cleanleigh Drive in Hillendale (21234). The suspects stole two cash registers containing an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a gray Hyundai SUV toward McClean Boulevard.



At 10:15 a.m. on Monday, November 21, officers responded to the 1000-block of Halstead Road in Hillendale (21234) in reference to a stolen vehicle that was later located in the 1600-block of Lochwood Avenue.

At 5 p.m. on Monday, November 21, police responded to the unit block of Terron Court in Hillendale (21234) in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Officers noticed that the vehicle’s rear window had been broken and that the ignition was torn apart. An investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Baltimore City.

At just after 11 p.m. on Monday, November 21, an individual broke into a business in the 8600-block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237) by smashing the front glass window. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the register and then recovered in the parking lot.
