WHITE MARSH, MD—A community input meeting will be held later this month to discuss a proposal that has raised some eyebrows in the White Marsh community.
According to plans that have recently been made public, there is a proposal to build 516 apartments adjacent to White Marsh Mall in the former Sears site.
Specific details regarding the type of apartments, the cost of rents, and target market have not yet been made available. The plans do indicate that this will be a large project that includes two parking garages, a pool, and an activity center.
Local residents have shared the link to the community meeting in multiple local Facebook groups and on Nextdoor, encouraging neighbors to speak out against the proposed development citing concerns about school overcrowding and traffic.
The community input meeting is scheduled for November 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Community Christian Church auditorium, located at 8009 Corporate Drive in Nottingham.
