ESSEX, MD—The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new field in the Essex area next week.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Fields at Renaissance Park.
The groundbreaking ceremony will celebrate a partnership between Baltimore County, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
In addition, the ceremony will kickoff the upgrades to the park, which will greatly expand the available recreational opportunities in the greater Essex -Stembridge area.
Special guests will include County Executive Johnny Olszewski, and Roslyn Johnson, Director of Recreation and Parks.
Renaissance Park is located at 99 Stemmers Run Road in Essex (21221).
