GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC—A South Carolina pastor has been arrested and charged with sex crimes against minors in Baltimore County.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday arrested the pastor on eleven warrants from Baltimore County that included charges of criminal sexual conduct with minors.
Thomas James Brackett, 59, pastor of Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church, in Andrews, was taken into custody without incident at his residence.
The offenses are alleged to have taken place in the 1980s while Brackett was a teacher and youth pastor at Tabernacle Christian Church in Baltimore County.
He will remain at the Georgetown County Detention Center until he can be transported to Maryland.
