Dear Parents and Guardians of Eastern Technical High School,
This morning, a student was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which a transformer was struck resulting in a power outage. Once we were notified, the students were seen by the nurse. There were no reported injuries.
We want you to be assured that the safety of our students is our top priority. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school at (443) 809-0190.

UPDATE: Eastern Tech will dismiss at 9:45 a.m. All afternoon and evening activities have been cancelled.

ESSEX, MD—Eastern Tech is experiencing a power outage on Thursday morning.
Board of Education of Baltimore County president Julie Henn reports that the school lost power after a vehicle struck a transformer outside of the school.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle struck the transformer after its accelerator got stuck.
Students are currently being moved to the cafeteria and gym.
There has been no word yet on dismissal.
