Councilman Marks: Agreement keeps Comcast Customer Service Center in White Marsh

WHITE MARSH, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Tuesday announced that Comcast will continue operating its White Marsh Customer Service Center for at least the next five years as a result of the cable franchise agreement passed by the County Council on October 17th.

“I am happy that with the passage of this franchise agreement, we have a commitment to keep the Customer Service Center locally for at least five more years,” said Councilman Marks. “This is not only a convenient location, but also another employment center in the growing White Marsh Town Center.”

Resolution 44-22 approves the renewal of the County’s cable franchise agreement with Comcast of Maryland, LP. The agreement renews their cable franchise to construct, operate, and maintain a cable system in Baltimore County. Representatives of Comcast and the Council entered informal renewal negotiations in 2017; after five years, the Council approved an agreement on October 17th.

The terms of the renewal agreement are set forth in Exhibit A on the Baltimore County Council’s website.
