Perry Hall High School on lockdown, police pursuing suspect in woods

UPDATE: Perry Hall students have departed the school safely following a lock out.

Today at 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the back area outside  of the school for a reported assault. One person was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives from White Marsh precinct are actively investigating this incident. As additional information becomes available updates will be made.

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Perry Hall High School is on lockdown as of Thursday afternoon.

Police were reportedly pursuing a suspect in the woods behind the school, according to a source who spoke with NottinghamMD.com on the condition of anonymity.

Helicopter and K9 units were involved and unconfirmed reports indicate that multiple suspects are in police custody.

All students and staff inside the school are safe, per Councilman David Marks.  Councilman Marks added that dismissal will proceed on time.
