JOPPA, MD—The Maryland Transportation Authority has announced that important roadwork will result in some lane closures on Interstate 95 this weekend.
Overnight on Friday, October 7 and overnight on Saturday, October 8, two right lanes on southbound I-95 within the MD 152/Mountain Road interchange will be closed temporarily to traffic. Two lanes will remain open for traffic during this closure.
During the day on Saturday, October 8, until completion on Sunday, October 9, the right lane on southbound I-95 within the MD 152/Mountain Road interchange will be closed temporarily to traffic. Three lanes will remain open for traffic during this closure.
In addition, the ramp from MD 152/Mountain Road to southbound I-95 will be closed the night of Friday, October 7, until completion on Sunday, October 9. The detour will direct motorists to westbound MD 7/Philadelphia Road, to westbound MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard, to southbound I-95.
Weather permitting, the southbound I-95 double right lane closure within the MD 152 interchange will start Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, at 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning each night.
Weather permitting, the southbound I-95 single right lane closure within the MD 152 interchange will start Saturday, October 8, at 9 a.m. until completion on Sunday, October 9.
Weather permitting, the ramp from MD 152 to southbound I-95 will be closed from Friday, October 7, at 8 p.m. until completion on Sunday, October 9.
Crews will be performing essential roadwork as part of the MDTA’s $1.1 billion I-95 ETL Northbound Extension program to relieve congestion and improve travel along the I-95 corridor into Harford County.
