BALTIMORE, MD—Forecasters are officially calling the remnants of Hurricane Ian “the low that just won’t go.”
What was once Hurricane Ian sits off of the Mid-Atlantic coast pumping rain westward into the Mid-Atlantic region.
Over the past 72 hours, 1.5 – 3 inches of rain have fallen in many areas from the persistent storm (as indicated in the graphic above from the National Weather Service).
The highest amounts of 4 – 7 inches have fallen in New Jersey and across portions of the Delmarva.
Residents won’t likely see much improvement until later this week. Tuesday’s forecast calls for a 90% chance of rain and there is a 50% chance of showers on Wednesday.
Skies should clear out on Thursday with a high of 74 degrees and sunshine.
