Man arrested after exposing himself in Overlea, car thief sets vehicle on fire in Rosedale

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, officers responded to the 5100-block of Terrace Drive in Overlea/Nottingham (21236) after a known individual exposed himself and threatened his neighbor with a knife. Police placed the suspect under arrest.



At just after 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, officers responded to a burglar alarm at a business located in the 8000-block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237) and found the front door partially open. The suspect had stolen cash and an ATM before fleeing the scene.

At just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, two surveyors were working in the 5400-block of Litany Lane in Rosedale (21237) when one worker struck the other with a wooden stick. Officers placed the suspect under arrest.

At around 11 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 7600-block of Lillian Holt Drive in Rosedale (21237). When police arrived at the scene, they found a Nissan Altima was fully engulfed in flames. When the vehicle’s owner was notified, she said that the vehicle had been stolen but she had not yet reported it.
