NOTTINGHAM, MD—Two suspects have been charged after they assaulted several police officers over the weekend.
As previously reported by NottinghamMD, At just after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, a Baltimore County police officer was assaulted while working uniformed, secondary employment in the 8100-block of Honeygo Boulevard (21236).
Officers later conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of Philadelphia Road and Hamilton Avenue (21237). During that stop, as officers were attempting to arrest the suspects, the driver of the vehicle began to ram police units and other vehicles with their car. During this assault, at least one officer fired at the suspect.
The suspect vehicle, which fled the location, was followed by officers into Baltimore City where it came to a stop in the area of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Officers took the driver into custody, rendered aid, and escorted her into the hospital.
The officer who was initially assaulted was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Criminal charges have been filed against 30-year-old Alicia Page and 31-year-old Kelly Anthony. Page has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, as well as theft and malicious destruction of property.
Kelly Anthony, 31, faces charges of second-degree assault, obstructing and hindering, as well as theft.
Anthony and Page are being held without bond. Anthony is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center; Page remains in the custody at the hospital.
