NOTTINGHAM, MD—Authorities have released additional information on Saturday night’s police-involved shooting in Rosedale.

At just after 8:00 p.m. on September 10, a Baltimore County police officer was assaulted while working uniformed, secondary employment in the 8100-block of Honeygo Boulevard (21236).

Officers later conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of Philadelphia Road and Hamilton Avenue (21237). During that stop, as officers were attempting to arrest the suspects, the driver of the vehicle began to ram police units and other vehicles with their car. During this assault, at least one officer fired at the suspect.

The suspect vehicle, which fled the location, was followed by officers into Baltimore City where it came to a stop in the area of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Officers took the driver into custody, rendered aid, and escorted her into the hospital.

The officer who was initially assaulted was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
