Parkville 9/11 Path of Honor marks 11th year

PARKVILLE, MD—An annual tradition will return to Parkville this weekend.

For the past eleven years, volunteers have placed 2,977 American flags along Putty Hill Avenue, from Old Harford Road to Harford Road, in honor of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The 2022 Path of Honor will go up on Friday morning to commemorate this weekend’s 21st anniversary of that fateful day.

The annual event is organized by The Hope and Peace Foundation.

The group will hold its annual Patriot Day Ride on Sunday, September 11th.  The ride will go from Darlington to Parkville, ending at McAvoy’s.  There will also be a candlelight vigil held at 6:45 p.m.
