I-95 shut down due to crash near Joppa

UPDATE 3: A total of 6 patients are now being treated for injuries.  I-95 remains shut down in both directions between the White Marsh Boulevard and Mountain Road exits.

UPDATE 2: The Baltimore County Fire Department reports that five patients are being treated for injuries.  Expect major delays in the area.



UPDATE: Hazmat crews are also responding to the scene.  The crash involves multiple overturned vehicles and an overturned tractor-trailer blocking several lanes.

KINGSVILLE, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 95 near Joppa.

The incident was reported at just after 10 a.m. along southbound I-95 between the Mountain Road and White Marsh Boulevard exits.

The crash involves an overturned vehicle and I-95 is currently shut down in both directions.

There has been no word on any injuries. Motorists should use an alternate route.
