TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski on Wednesday announced that Dori Henry will serve as interim chief of staff beginning September 15th.
Henry will assume the role following the departure of current Chief of Staff Pat Murray.
“Dori has played a key role in every major initiative we have undertaken to build a better Baltimore County. She is a strategic thinker and a dedicated public servant who is uniquely qualified to serve as chief of staff,” Olszewski said. “Pat has been an invaluable partner and played an integral role in helping to build our team and manage our way through unanticipated and unprecedented fiscal and public health crises. I am grateful for his service to the residents of Baltimore County.”
Henry has served with the County since 2018 as director of communications and deputy chief of staff. Prior to joining Baltimore County, she oversaw communications for the Bloomberg American Health Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Previously, she has served as assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor, and has held roles at the U.S. Department of Justice, the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University, and a Master of Science from Boston University.
