Police say Middle River double-shooting was targeted, town hall scheduled

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police have confirmed that Tuesday’s double-shooting in Middle River was a targeted incident.



At around 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of Compass Road at Martin Boulevard (21220) for a report of a double-shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 43-year-old male and a 42-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics transported both shooting victims to an area hospital for treatment.  There has been no update on their condition.

Detectives believe this was a targeted incident. They are asking anyone who may have information about this case to call police at 410-307-2020.

Information may also be provided through the Baltimore County iWATCH program or via Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.

Delegate Ric Metzger will be holding a town hall to discuss this incident.  The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at Victory Villa Baptist Church, located at 75 Chandelle Road in Middle River.  Police department representatives and other elected officials will also be on hand.
